"The stars in the heaven, look down where he lay"

Tonight I had lots of studying, projects due, and papers to write.  3 of my four in-class finals are scheduled Monday.. Gross huh? But tonight Allyson and I blew it off and took a trip to Salt Lake.  After getting to Salt Lake, taking the only exit I am familiar with, driving past my aunt's house and yelling hi, we got a little lost in Salt Lake.  Oops, I thought I could get us there but I had my directions backwards.  But thankfully the beautiful grid system used in Salt Lake got us there eventually and we never felt too lost.
We found parking and started a little trek to temple square.  What a beautiful place.  We ate dinner in the Nauvoo Cafe (pot pies, yum!)  Then walked around temple square and enjoyed the feelings of Christmas.  The beautiful lights, the nativities, the Christmas story playing through speakers, The beautiful Christus.  I now feel so rejuvenated and ready to hit finals week.  The Spirit is so strong around Christmas, then going to the temple grounds it creates a little automatic peace feeling fire burning inside me.

Here's to one more week of school and a happy Christmas!
