So I have never been a huge fan of the awkward/awesome posts, mostly because it seems like everyone does it.. And I can not think of different words to use, so this will have to be my awkward/awesome post.
Yesterday I was tired.. did not want to be at school. I went to pick up my paycheck... not there, and they could not tell me when it would be there... lame? Yes. So I went to my next class, (church history with Susan Easton Black...Amazing!) And because it is my usual habit to sit in the front, and because a friend saved me a seat.. i was sitting on the end of the third row. Sister Black made her way down the front and side asking if people knew how to lead. Somehow no one sitting in front of me knew how to lead. She got to me.. I do know how to lead so I said sure. She said "Perfect were singing 'Come Come Ye Saints'" I was in a sudden panic.. there are not hymn books in this room, and no piano to follow. I could remember this song changes time signature but I wasn't sure where. I spent the next few minutes singing the song in my head and trying to remember the beats. Then she began class. I stood up in front of a class of 300 people (it seemed like 1000) and started leading the song. I got the first time change, and the change back to the first time... but I forgot the last change. Needless to say I spent the last 2 lines of the song trying to find the right beat and the right hand motions.. embarrassing? Yes.
So I went home a little grumpy and decided to watch Friends. There is nothing like a little friends to brighten the day. But then it was the episode where Rachel and Ross break up. Yeah.. I headed to a work meeting a little grumpy and a little angry at Ross and Rachel. But I had this sudden thought to recheck the mail. ( I had already checked once that day) and I had a letter! a beautiful handwritten letter. It is amazing what can turn a day around in a heartbeat. I practically skipped to my meeting, and relished the few minutes my boss was talking to another co-worker and read my letter as fast as I could.
So there is my version of awkward/awesome.. I am working on a new name for this kind of post, so be watching.
Oh and I have noticed on my stats page that I have had quite a few page views (I realize there is a slight chance this is my parents reading my posts over and over and over, but I call home so often I doubt it.) So please follow, subscribe, or comment! I would love to reply or follow your blog!

Letter?!?!?! And you didn't say from who. I am a bit disappointed :) I mean I know at BYU everyone is waiting for those letters but still.... details?!
