One of our first weekends here in Tucson we drove out to good old Safford Arizona. We spent the morning visiting the Gila Valley Temple and then visiting many places that are dear to my heart. My Dad grew up in Safford and his family had been in the Gila Valley for about 100 years before everyone in my Dad's immediate family moved away. So there are many homes and places that I remember visiting as a child. It was so fun to visit- yet a little strange to not be running into my grandparents old home for a round of Papa's breakfast and a Pepsi.
We went and saw homes that my family used to live in, went to the eat at one of my favorite restaurants ( I could write an entire post about that restaurant.. but I will save you all from reading that) Oh and cemeteries in the rain. Have I told you about Arizona monsoons? They are Auh-mazing!
Now for a bunch of picutres
