Oh My Heck

So last week my roommates and I were watching Law and Order- this episode about Mormon Nannies. In the episode one of the sweet young nannies said "Oh My Heck!" Which we all made fun of for a few minutes "Do people really say that?" 

Well since then I have been saying it- at first to make fun of that particular episode of Law and Order... but it is beginning to sneak into my regular speech... drat.

Oh that was just to explain the title and the words that went screaming through my mind ten minutes ago. That's not why I am really blogging at 11:37 at night:

Here's the story.

I am at work and was taking a lap around the office (4 hours in a computer chair is a long time) I paused next to my boss's desk and was staring at the jar that frequently has candy.. but my last few shifts has been empty. 

When suddenly a huge, gross, brown spider came darting towards me!

I ran over to my computer and jumped on my chair and watched him.  I really did not want to kill him and if he could just scuttle another direction a battle could be averted. 

But alas he turned towards me.. my heart by this time was in my chest and beating about a million miles per hour (I know I basically had a heart attack)

I was frozen in this rolly chair that wobbled dangerously as I was preparing to pounce. I was just hoping he would take off in another direction. Maybe he knew I was scared because he took another step towards me. I jumped off my chair and searched for something to wack him with.  The only thing I could find was my 70+ page report sitting next to me.. I knew that would not do and I would have to use my SHOE! (I know I know.. but spider guts on my shoe.. bad news) I ran towards him and stepped and then quickly ran to the other side of the room. ( Oh I may or may not have screamed, and when I say may not I really mean may) I stood on the other side of the room staring at the spider for a good 2.. 3.. ok 5 minutes to make sure he was really dead. 

Dont worry he was.
