Week 38

   A little family selfie:)

How big is baby? A Swiss Chard.. I am guessing that is length maybe?

Total weight gain?  15 pounds

Maternity clothes? Yep...

Sleep?I have slept pretty good the last few nights. I have been soo tired.

Food cravings? Milk

Food aversions? Cafe Rio always and forever.

Movement? Yep.

Belly button in or out? Still in. fingers crossed.

Weird pregnancy things? Our NST tests have been going well. At today's appointment we found out I am 5 centimeters dilated, 80 percent effaced, and in station 1, my doctor said she could admit me right now but wants me to have contractions that are actually painful. So Jason and I are about to walk around the mall 15 times to get some contractions going. My doctor said she wouldn't be surprised if we have a baby by morning. So hopefully this is our last weekly post!!

Best moment this week? Conference this weekend was great. We spent time with family and also just relaxed at home. I just love General Conference.

A Baby Shower

A couple weekends ago my mom and sister threw me a little baby shower. I had been really nervous about having a baby shower here in Tucson because we have lived here 2 months and I feel like I am just starting to make some friends, and I didn't think many people would come. But I was pleasantly surprised with how many people came. I think we are slowly building our village here in Tucson, which feels so nice because that is what I have missed most from Provo.
basically while everyone was setting up I sat and ate soft pretzels. I figure I only have a few more weeks of people telling me to take it easy and to sit down, I am trying really hard to take advantage of that:)
Thankfully while I was opening gifts Isabel came and sat by me so I could occasionally whisper "I don't think I know who that is" and she could discreetly tell me where they were in the room, or let me know that they had left, she was a lifesaver.

My mom thanking everyone for coming, and telling a little story. She had a football as the guest sign in and was signing it before the party started. She was showing me her signature, but she had signed it Grandma Brown. I even asked her what she why she did that and it still took her a second to realize that she hasn't been a Brown for 25 years. So she just decided she signed it for her mom (who is still in England) and resigned it Grandma Mortensen. Lucky save.

Week 37

How big is baby? A Winter Melon (at our ultrasound today he weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces.

Total weight gain?  12 pounds from starting weight

Maternity clothes? Yep...

Sleep? Everything gives me heartburn, but I also just can't stand tums anymore. So I spend a lot of my nights trying to sleep sitting up. Which does not make for a good nights sleep.

Food cravings? Milk still, I went through half a gallon yesterday.

Food aversions? Cafe Rio always and forever.

Movement? Yep.

Belly button in or out? Still in. fingers crossed.

Weird pregnancy things? Back, hip pain, and heartburn. We had our 37 week appointment today, I am 3 centimeters dilated and 70 percent effaced, but I am measuring 33 weeks, after an ultrasound he is measuring alright at about 37 weeks but we now get to go in twice a week for non-stress tests. Today's NST went well and he is looking great. My doctor is hoping to keep him in for at least another week; but she is hoping for two. We could have a baby sooner then we think.

Best moment this week? Jason and I took this weekend off from all our lists and just watched tv (Jimmy Fallon and Friends) and ate takeout. It was a pretty perfect weekend.

Week 36

How big is baby? A large cantaloupe

Total weight gain? 10 pounds from starting weight, 20 from lowest weight.

Maternity clothes? Yep
Sleep? Pretty good, my mom, sister and brother were here for the weekend and I definitely stayed up waay to late with them. Last night I was asleep by 8:30 and the only reason it wasn't 6:30 was because my visiting teachers came over at 7:45.
Food cravings? Milk, chocolate, ice cream, brownies. I am struggling to be healthy any more.
Food aversions? Cafe Rio. I don't think I will ever go back.
Movement? Yep. I got nervous a few times last week because I didn't feel him as often as I was used to, but I think I was just busy with lots of other things, and then we found out at my appointment that his head is about as low as he can go; which my doctor said that can also explain feeling him a little less.

Belly button in or out? Still in. I am losing hope though.. I think I may soon have an outie.

Weird pregnancy things? Back, hip pain, and heartburn.

Best moment this week?Spending time with family this weekend was a lot of fun

35 Weeks!

How big is baby? A Pineapple

Total weight gain?  So I am at 7 pounds from starting weight, 17 from lowest weight.

Maternity clothes? Yep...
Sleep? Mostly good. Last night I could not sleep though. I read in bed for a few hours, then thought I would fall asleep and laid in bed for another few hours. But it didn't bother me like not sleeping normally would. Eventually I moved to our recliner and was asleep in minutes... which was weird but whatever works.
Food cravings? Milk. Any sugar. Jason joked that I am going to gain all my weight here in the last 5 weeks the other night. Let's hope I can keep that under control.
Food aversions? Still Cafe Rio, Jason read my blog last week and said we would go back and I just don't think I can.
Movement? Yep. I am pretty sure he is running out of room though.
Belly button in or out? Still in. It is definitely different though.
Weird pregnancy things? Back, hip pain, and heartburn. Last week I felt like we had all this time before he came and all of a sudden over the weekend I feel like he's coming tomorrow and that we are not ready.

Best moment this week? Jason's birthday- birthdays are just my favorite

That Day We Celebrated Daylight Savings

An unrelated picture, Arizona sunsets never dissapoint though.

One of the things I was most excited about moving to Arizona was no longer participating in daylight savings. Sunday morning I woke up and checked my fitbit, I was surprised to see it was already 7:00 because it still felt dark in our house. I got up to use the bathroom and looked out our windows. I actually thought that maybe daylight savings actually had something to do with the sun instead of a random day we've picked to change our clocks. I get back in bed and realize that I was not tired, got out of bed to find my phone charger, manage to wake up Jason in the process (he is the lightest sleep in the world) and plug in my dead phone... 6:30 am. My fitbit decided to update to Mountain time for some reason (even though it was set to match my phone time)

And that is the story of how we almost lost an hour on our first Arizona Daylight Savings.

A Day at the Air Show

One of the neat things about Tucson is the air force base. You can often see or hear planes flying over the city, and Jason often comes home talking about the planes he can see during work. So when he sent me an email about an airshow over the weekend we had to go. I wasn't expecting it to be cool but it actually was really cool. They had a bunch of huge planes open that you could walk through, you could even go up to the flight deck and tour those. They had air shows all day but we only went for the Thunderbird show. So awesome.

Jason was so excited all day. He kept talking about bringing our baby to the next show. They do this show every two years, we'll have an almost 2 year old at the next show.

We had so much fun at the airshow and have the sunburns to prove it. I think I am going to get the sunscreen out and leave it on the bathroom counter so we no longer have an excuse. I think we're both really excited to take our little boy to watch the airplanes. Tucson is just so cool.
