Please ignore the awkward state of my blog. I accidentally deleted the header from Google + the other day, and decided it was a sign that i needed to make this thing cute. But after i began I realized I don't really have time to make my blog cute and stuff, but really.
Today I want to discuss something I believe deeply in.
Are you ready for it?
Its a big deal.
Tacos.
I know that was probably not what you were expecting. But lately I can not get enough tacos. (I think last week I had tacos every day.. every day)
There is something so wonderfully heavenly about mini corn tortillas stuffed with meat and cilantro and salsa and cheese... dont even get me started on cheese.
So my roommates and I began a not so well followed tradition called Taco Tuesday (if you dont practice this already I recommend you do, because its the best) Two Tuesdays ago we were on our way to find some tacos, I had heard of some little place down freedom boulevard and like good taco tuesayers we headed off, only to find out that this place was closed ( I cant even remember the name) so we went to our back up Laura's Kitchen (1 dollar tacos on tuesdays, baby) only to find out that it too was closed. (It was only 9.. what is up with Provo?) Well we were sad and hungry realizing we were probably not going to get tacos, when I thought of one other place...
Drum Roll Please....
The Tortilla Bar!
ok, this is probably the best place of my life. Allyson and I split plantains, covered in this lovely cream sauce, coconut oil, almond extract and feta cheese. (SO GOOD) and then I had the hanger tacos. Homemade tortilla, steak, apples, onions, jalapenos. Words cannot describe. I dream about these tacos people.
So what do you need to do? If you are currently living in Provo/Orem you need to get your bum to this place, everything is good. I went twice last week, I have tried their avocado tacos (YUM) their kimchi quesadilla (double YUM) I really don't think they can serve anything that is not good. If you are not living in Provo/Orem, come see me NOW! We can go get tacos. ( I need more excuses)
That is all.
