Our Fourth of July was the fourth of July from my dreams. We stayed in Provo this year and pretended to be locals. (I've realized I have lived here 4 years... when do you qualify as a local?) We went to the biggest 4th of July parade in Utah. Which was actually really cool. We live in walking distance (thankfully so we did not have to find parking, our entire neighborhood was filled with cars.) The parade was a lot of fun. It exceeded my expectations. I mean does anything really say America like marching bands and army men? I'm pretty sure if you look up the definition of America you will see marching bands under definition one and army men with big guns under two.
Oh and we also saw Jimmer- he held up the entire parade with kids running over for fist bumps.
The rest of our morning/afternoon was spent taking the best of naps, oh and making a cake for our neighborhood block party.
The block party was a lot of fun, to be honest I spent most of the time watching babies.
Oh or this guy play football in the street. We live in a real neighborhood with families and stuff. Isn't that weird?
Our fourth of July ended on Y mountain with a view of the entire valley's fireworks. Oh and probably half the town cramped onto Y mountain.
Happy Birthday America!
