London Baby!

Well.. we went to England. We had been planning this trip for about 6 months, and it felt so surreal to actually go. We got off to a rocky start, we were flying out of Salt Lake to Chicago and then Chicago to Heathrow, well everything was looking good the morning of our flight. I checked our flights and everything looked on time so we headed to the airport. We started through security and they now test your hands for something. (at the time i thought it was drugs... but turns out it was gunpowder) So I wasn't worried at all... because we don't do drugs. Well I tested positive which meant I got my own private screening where they checked everything in my bag and left my husband to worry outside.

So we got through that and we get on our plane (still saying on time) only to find out once we were boarded we got delayed for an hour. I guess there were tornadoes in Chicago. Now we only had an hour and a half layover in Chicago so we knew we had to take off soon, or we were going to miss our flight. The hour goes by and we are then delayed another hour. At this point we had to go back to the airport to refuel and the pilot said we could try to rebook our flight.

We went to get in line and heard our flight was cancelled.

Well we were in the beginning of the line which turned out to be a huge blessing because they got us on the flight to Phoenix that left in less then an hour and then a flight to London from there. So instead of landing in London at 8 in the morning we landed around 3 in the afternoon. We were to late for my grandparents to pick up so we took all our luggage on a train and headed into London. Dropped off our bags and then wandered for a few hours. I only really remember going to the palace that day... and maybe that is really all we did because those are the only pictures I could find.

So if you have made it through that long story and are ready for pictures...
